Our Story
Who We Are
We are China United Education Assistance Foundation (CUEAF), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit based in Indiana. Registered in 2009, we are dedicated to improving rural education in China and fostering educational and cultural exchanges between China and the U.S.
What We Are Doing
We are providing opportunities for children to receive a better education. Some of our key programs include book corners, happy classrooms for left-behind children, student field trips, school improvements, teacher training, and scholarships. We also look for opportunities to develop education assistance programs for disadvantaged schools in U.S. communities.
Education has a lasting influence. Limited education in childhood and adolescence has a negative impact on children’s academic success and personal development throughout the school years. It leads to a cumulative disadvantage for children long term, and substantially reduces the chances for success in their adult lives. We are working closely with rural schools, teachers, and partner organizations to help more kids receive a better education.
What Our Impact Is So Far
Together with our partner organizations, we have provided funding to over 600 rural schools across China to improve school conditions during the past decade. With the support of many individuals, corporations, and other organizations, more than 200,000 students and teachers in rural schools have benefited from our programs.
